For all of you who have been searching for an easy inexpensive fabric softener that is homemade and doesn’t leave that yucky residue in your washer’s softener dispenser…hereit is!  I use a 1 liter bottle, fill it up with white vinegar and add 60 drops of your choice of essential oil.  There are many fragrances to choose from and you can add less or more to your mixture to suit your nose!  Vinegar is great for getting rid of odors too!  You can use it plain, but I personally don’t care for the smell of vinegar by itself.  However, when I have had to use it by itself, by the time a load goes through the washer and dryer, I don’t notice a vinegar smell.  So you can use it by itself if you prefer or are out of essential oil.
